Wonderful Animals Rescued from Sadness into Joy

If Pigs Could Fly...

they wouldn't need anyone to rescue them from the skillet when they were no longer wanted by their owners. But pigs CAN'T fly, so they need special help. The PIG PLACEMENT NETWORK is a non-profit organization operating primarily in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but they'll work with anyone with a pig in need. For more information, see info at right.

Photos and more details on adopting a greyhound

BENGAL is a Greyhound, whose days at the track were over, and we all know what that means.

Fortunately, she was rescued into a loving home and has now become the mascot of the Brown University Sports Foundation. She's a beautiful, gentle creature, understandably shy around most people. Her coloring and markings are striking, as she looks quite like the tigers after which she was named. (We're trying to get a picture, guys; keep checking back.)

Bengal is a familiar sight around the building where her owners, Dave and Nancy, work. Now that Spring is approaching, she can be seen running laps in the garden out back. We haven't timed her, but it sure looks like she can still give that rabbit a run for its money!

Hey, Bengal, YOU GO GIRL!
