| BABY H., the beloved Maltese of a workaholic mom. Baby H. is the product
of an international "marriage". His biological mom is purebred
AKC, but his dad is Taiwanese, and hence not AKC recognized. Talk
about taking politics to the extreme! His adopted mom travels a lot, and she brings Baby with her on all her trips. He has a special carrying case for his plane rides and is a seasoned traveller with considerable frequent flier miles. Baby H. has been to New York City and Arizona. He even spent New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, where he saw Liza Minelli and was caught peeking at the naked girls in the Jubilee Show. Not to worry, though. Baby H.attends church regularly, though he prefers going to the beach and to the movies. He reportedly was NOT impressed with Godzilla. Be sure to say hello to Baby H. from phool if your paths cross in an airport someday. |
The story of BABY W. is a heartwarming tale of rescue, love, and commitment. Baby
lived with her first owner and several other pets in a trailer
park. The owner went off for over a week, leaving the animals
to fend for themselves. Neighbors alerted the SPCA, which recued
them all. Soon Baby was adopted by the W. family and she and daughter
Nicole (shown in photo) quickly became inseparable. But her story
doesn't end there. While Baby seemed happy in her new home, she wasn't as responsive as expected. After a checkup, the vet determined Baby W. is deaf. So now she and her family are taking classes to learn how to cope with her special needs. We're told they're even learning sign language! phool just can't help wondering: Does the vet have little doggy earphones? Does a dog bark or wag his tail when he's heard the tone? And how does a person sign in dog language? By making paw shapes with his hand? We don't know the answers to these questions, but we DO know that Baby W. and the W. family are very fortunate to have each other. |
